I saw your article and It just made me feel so proud. I am just starting out my VA services. I am at the set up stage. I did not even register my business as yet because I am still doing research. The last thing I decided to go before I hit the go button was to check out the rates other VA are charging. I was so elated when I say your article because I agree with you 100%. You should not sell yourself short for no one especially when you know your worth. Clients are already saving money when they use your service because we all know in the long run it cost less to use an outside service than to have one in the office. I am glad to see you stick to your guns. I had already told myself that I will not go beyond $20.00 which in my opinion is quite a bargain. It took me a long time to gain the skills that I have and I refuse to give it away so easily.

This is very true since most VA’s are going through the dilemma of clients giving you a low offer to as much as $400 a month which is generally absurd and this is due to the ongoing outsourcing trend…

Personally, it would be best however not to accept some of these offer and instead multiply yourself…

Think of probably acquiring a project that would pay you cheap and multiply yourself by outsourcing another VA as well… in this sense…you may be doing 10 projects and get paid for it and helping as well outsourced agent… still nothing is put to compromise and still earn much more through collective payments.

Hi Evelyn: I just finished transcribing all the interviews for The Social Media Bible, co-authored by Mr. Lon Safko, http://www.TheSocialMediaBible.com . I became part of the team virtually; I am a virtual transcriptionist. I only mention this as a testament to the power of social media, or as I like to call this combo, Social Media ². I think a good transcriptionist is priceless. I know you will concur.
